2004 - The third year of the awards

The winning and commended projects in the 2004 eWell-Being Awards were announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in London on Monday 14th March 2005. Details of the winners were appear in the ePublic supplement of the guardian newspaper on Wednesday 16th March 2005. About the Awards

The 2004 eWell-Being Awards were sponsored by BT, Vodafone, Brother, IDeA and Local transport Today, with The Guardian as national media partner. They are the UK's first and only awards to focus on ICT projects which deliver tangible environmental and social benefits. 118 entries were received for the Awards this year and 21 projects made the final short-list.

National Press Release

BT Digital Inclusion - Supported by BT, this category seeks voluntary sector* projects that use ICT to enhance access to services and opportunities for individuals and groups.

For 2004 there is an additional award for projects that are specifically aimed at enhancing ICT access and services for disabled people.

Brother Environmental Efficiency - Sponsored by Brother, this category seeks projects which either make use of ICT to reduce environmental impacts, or which are focused on reducing the negative environmental impacts of ICT equipment. Projects might focus on areas such as waste, energy, or water.
